ARTIST STATEMENT

As a Multidisciplinary Artist, language and art beyond aesthetics, is an inherently complex and personal tool of expression and impression.  In both, I investigate old and new landscapes, expanding on the notion of self, while negotiating cultures and speaking to great and small matters that can be neglected.  Integrating the elements of the literary, interpretive, performance and visual arts provides a balance, emphasis, movement, unity, rhythm and diversity to create with the familiar and foreign.  This is a framework for dialogue, translation, debating ideas and cross cultural exchange.
