DrawingsThese drawings are of an ongoing series of stark images of birds/animals at a human scale that create an almost confrontational relationship between the viewer and the elements of nature. These unsentimental black and white drawings in charcoal ask the viewer to take another look at these magnificent creatures and indeed at our responsibility to them.
I hope to portray the deeper richness and the unique value of these magnificent creatures. They gaze back at us, asking to be really looked at, seen as equals deserving our respect and an equal place on this world. I am interested in reconnecting us to the greater value of this world and the many forms of life we share it with.
