2011 Exhibit

“Doing business As… Artist Entrepreneurs” is a collaborative of selected artists-graduates of the Artist as Entrepreneur Institute (AEI). It will take place at the Gallery 6 at the Broward County Main Library in Fort Lauderdale.

Dates: January 6th through February 23rd, 2011

Opening Reception: Wednesday, January 12 from 5 – 7:30pm

Closing Reception and Re-union of AEI Artists and Instructors: Wednesday, February 23d, 5pm to 7:30pm

Special guest, Heather Darcy Bhandari, author of ART/WORK: Everything You Need to Know (and Do) As You Pursue Your Art Career.

Liora Davis, Cultural Arts grant recipient for the project and Georgeta Fondos are curating the third annual D.B.A. exhibit.

It showcases 8 exhibiting artists: Liora G. Davis, Georgeta Fondos, Timothy Leistner, Bonnie Orbach, Jen Toplak, Lori Pratico, Elizabeth Reed and Terre Rybovich.

Virginia Fifield, Jacklyn Laflamme and LeeAnna Yater, who have spearheaded the first D.B.A. exhibit, will return as Honorary Artists for 2011.

The D.B.A. exhibit provides an opportunity for Artist Entrepreneur Institute graduates to utilize the skills and information gained from the program to establish experience as professional artists springboard their careers. It provides a model for future AEI graduates to carry on the tradition of exhibiting and doing business as artists.
